BODY PARTS PRAYER

Holy Spirit, free me from sin today.

Purge my mind from being blind.

Tune my ears to Your sweet, and still small voice,

And close them to the whispers of hell.

Teach my tongue to make the right choice,

Your truth to tell.

In the busyness, don’t let me lose my head!  (I might need it someday.)

In the quietness, remind me of what you’ve said,

That You’ll never leave me or forsake me,

That we’ve BOTH risen from the dead.

My shoulders are bent, my load is heavy.

But I THANK the Lord for my beat-up Chevy.

(Sure beats a Ford.)

My arms are wimpy,

But I got two hands to fold in prayer.

Got ten fingers to use for Him,

To work, to win, anytime, anywhere.

My heart is strong, when it’s filled with You.

So keep me from wrong.

Make me loyal and true.

It’s hard to breathe, my lungs are bad.

Just let me die, I sometimes cry.

Mad or sad, I’m kinda dry.

JESUS, fill me up, make me glad!

Been in a rut, sittin on my butt, gettin a fat gut.

Don’t know why, how, or what.

Lord, let me laugh with children today,

Let me sing with the birds, and pray.

Got two good legs (“Best of the litter”, said mom)

“Not bad”, said my dad.

Just walk with Me, you’ll see.  Just walk with Me.

The Lord says “I love you, as you are.

Whether up close, or from afar.”

I made you as I want you to be

For now and eternity.
