Financial Partnership

Feb 8, 2012
PRAISE GOD and thank you, AL.  and GA. friends (and Jim in WI.) for helping us to get blankets to over 120 families in the past three months.  Many refugees don't use heat in their homes (no cash for utility bills) or lights, so these blankets are truly a witness of His love to needy friends here.

Many refugees that the USA Immigration (ICE) has brought here are struggling to find jobs.  This is a massive issue for the Church.  Let's pray and do what we individually can do as His reps in these challenging days.

Nov. 27, '11.  We're needing warm blankets (new; and used in good condition) for 120 families.  So far, we've been given some from Homewood, AL. that has been a huge help for two families.  118 to go.  Help!

Oct.19th.  Heading to Asia tomor for 12 days, to site of previous allocation.  Needing financial partners to help with national missionaries there.  PTL for about $1000. given for this specific need.

May 28th The urgent need we are trying to meet this week is purchasing tools for our Sudanese pastor friend, David, who does landscaping.  All his tools, valued at about $4000. were stolen this week.  On June 2nd his family will be moving to an apartment as they no longer have finances to live in a house.
Oct. 19 Update: he was able to purchase used tools with loans.

February.  It grieves us that so many of our friends, both here and in Asia, are living below 'poverty level'.  We continue to seek funds for children of pastors (in Asia) so that they can buy school uniforms and have enough busfare to get to school each day.

January 2011

We are in close contact with about 35 refugee families in Atlanta, many of whom have no employment.  PRAY FOR JOBS.
In the meantime, we need financial partners to assist these families in providing groceries and school supplies for each member of these families.  They are from Burma, Bhutan,Iraq, Ethiopia, Congo and Sudan.  Please let us know if you're willing to help.  We need 15 more financial partners who could send 20 dollars a month.  Could you?  Nov. update: one family has responded to this, and is sending in 25 dollars monthly.

On a larger scale, we hope to provide furniture and household items THIS FRIDAY for Elodi whose apartment was burned last night.  She has no employment at the moment, though her son Grace has a part time job.  (God answered that prayer.)

Nov. 28
Our coworker in the Philippines (Cito) is needing to raise $300. a month to continue in fulltime ministry there in our absence.  (As of March 2011, he is still living on about $100. a month.)  Nov. 27 update: he is still needing help on this, though he will be getting some income working for WBT for January and February 2012.

Aug. 10
We're hoping to assist Thatoo, whose younger brother ("P") was murdered three days ago.  Thatoo and his wife and two young boys are Burmese refugees, living in a very hard place in Clarkston, (east Atlanta).  The transition was made from the morgue to a funeral home today.  Thatoo makes minimum wage at a chicken plant an hour away and is not able to care for all funeral expenses.  A second financial need is for schooling.  We'd love to put him in CDL truck driving school on weekends, beginning in Sept., for two months, so that he could get a better job and move to a safe neighborhood.  School fees are about $3,600.  Update: he started the school but withdrew as he needs practice driving 18 wheelers in order to do well in the class.  How does a person get practice???

July 4
We are actively seeking scholarships to assist collegians in Asia, as well as start up capital to provide alternate income (small stores or microenterprise) for young widows whose husbands were murdered while serving in M areas.  Help!

June 28, 2010
We are still needing ten partners who can help us, each giving twenty dollars a month.  These funds will go entirely for national missionaries in the Pacific Rim.

March 29, 2010
Jehovah-Jireh is caring for us, as He is for you.  Your prayers have infinite value to us and to Him, so please don't send us cash unless you pray first. We need your love and friendship more than anything.  So, if you haven't already, pls check out the web page for PRAYER, which i (bob) just updated.  The saddest thing on the planet would be a pastor or missionary who has many paying people but few praying ones.

We are always in need of new financial partners in order to reach out to more people in practical ways.  For example, our Filipino coworker is living on about $150. a month, and is needing to raise an additional $200. in financial support.  Much of this would be in travel expenses to get to unreached areas.

August '09
Anyhow, this page is seriously outdated, and I just have a few moments to write.  Suffice to say...
1. I was blessed to have a bunch of frequent flier miles so I could make an urgent trip to Manila last month (July).  At that time, it was fun to PASS OUT YOUR MONEY to faithful believers in need who are serving the Lord full time, but with very minimal funding.  I was also able to assist a M man to finish his final semester of nursing college.
2. We've lost some financial supporters for various reasons.  We're asking the Lord for 20 friends who would be able to send us 20 dollars a month (or $60. a quarter).  We welcome YOU to do this if you are able.
3. In our new ministry in Atlanta, we want to be judicious in finances.  Our policy has always been to provide jobs, no matter how seemingly
insignificant.  The challenge before us is rubbing shoulders DAILY with dirt-poor refugees, most from war-torn countries who own nothing except for one bag as they exit the airport.  PRAY that they will learn English quickly, and be able to access meaningful jobs...and that God will give us wisdom in reaching out to them.  Two days ago, Mary, Amy, and I helped a man named Johnny to get an apartment ready for his dad and siblings whom he hasn't seen in 15 years.  They're believers, part of the 2 million 'silent casualties' of the Iraqi war.
4. When the 'time is right' (April 2010?), I need to make another trip to Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines to continue in training believers in those areas to share the gospel using Bible-based materials in literacy and English.  I'll need about $3000. for those travel expenses; (or much less if people could donate FrequentFlier miles).
5. IF you would like to be part of this outreach, you could set up automatic bank transfers, phone in, or write a check to LEI, and mail it to our office: LEI; 1800 S. Jackson Av; Tulsa, OK. 74107.  You could write 'for Mulloy ministry'on the memo line of the check, or include a brief note.  Then you'll get a tax receipt.  For more info, our mission website is literacyevangelism.org .  Thank you.
